Top Five Tips for Living with a Type A Personality
  1. Take a step back if you're feeling impatient or anxious.

  2. Sometimes, you don't need to delay gratification (sometimes, eat your dessert first).

  3. Satisficing (do something satisfactory rather than spending too much time maximizing your option).

Fact or Fiction: Personality Types
  1. Helpful people have more sex - FACT, the more altruistic people are, the more sexual partners they have AND the more frequently they have sex, according to a study by the British Journal of Psychology (Arnocky et al 2016)

  2. People get meaner as they grow older - FICTION, people get nicer as they grow older; three major changes to personality that occur with age are more conscientious, more agreeable, and less neurotic (moody) - Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (Riccelli et al, 2016)

  3. Narcissists prefer sweet foods - FICTION, having a preference for bitter tastes is linked to pyschopathy, narcissism, and everyday sadism; a predilection for tonic water or coffee, could indicate some pyschopathic tendencies in a person’s personality (Appetite, Sagioglou & Greitemeyer, 2016)

  4. People can hear your personality - FICTION, people can guess your personality simply by smelling your t-shirt, according to a study by the European Journal of Personality; the study found that people were good at identifying neuroticism, extraversion, and dominance, and in fact, people were particularly accurate at smelling dominance (or otherwise) of the opposite sex.
